Your Life's Drama
Date: 06/10/1998
You make things so magicalA tale to tell in every day
It's like some kind of miracle
When your life's drama takes the stage
But I have heard it all before
And as the crowd begins to fade
Their boredom feeds on everything
I wish I had the strength to make them stay
Another spark to set the world aflame
And my heart burning with it
See the blue flame light
The inside of my so called life
So it's a sad day when the music plays
But no one stays to dance or sing
You know I'd give anything
If I could be with you tonightThe shock of daily existence
I've waited all my life to be here with you
To find the dreams within your mind
I'll always stand with you through your life's drama
A simple life is not for you
To ask instead of telling
Is something you could never do
Turn the page on this miracle
We know it's how the story goes
I'll give you what you need
And keep on waiting for the day
When my life can take your center stage
Another drop to wash the world away
And my heart drowning with it
See the ocean waves
Crash against my so called life
So it's a sad day when the music plays
But no one stays to dance or sing
You know I'd give anything
If I could be with you tonight
I've waited all my life to be here with you
To find the dreams within your mind
I'll always stand by you through your life's drama
an idea inspired by some of my friends from the past, who always had an interesting story to tell (usually some drama about a guy they were involved in). This was written to be sort of along the lines of a song like "Save the Best for Last" by Vanessa Williams. This is track 7 on the album, To Another Day.
